KCR lashes out at Chandrababu Naidu for anti-Telangana steps

Hyderabad: Lashing out at AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Telangana CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao said, “He (Mr Naidu) moved a resolution supporting the merger of seven mandals in Khammam district under the Polavaram project with Andhra Pradesh, demanded Krishna waters from the Nagarjunasagar project, cancelled PPAs and denied much needed power to Telangana and also sent a ministers’ delegation to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan demanding that the Telangana government pay fees for Andhra students.”

He added, “When Telangana was celebrating granting of statehood, Naidu ensured that Hyderabad was the joint capital for 10 years. And this kind of irritants continue even today.”

Tracing his long struggle to achieve Telangana, he said those who had dismissed him had themselves been dismissed. “We achieved Telangana after a great deal of struggle and sacrifices. But some

Telangana traitors continue to cause hindrance in the new state too. The legislators who joined today are upset with them and joined hands with the TRS. They want Telangana to dev-elop and people to live happily,” Mr Rao said.

Besides the 11 legislators, former MLC B. Mohan Reddy, S. Indrasain Reddy, several sarpanchas, MPTC and ZPTC members and Congress, Telugu Desam and BSP supporters also joined the TRS.
