KCR Gives Licences to 19 More Industries

In yet another step forward towards expediting permissions to set up new industries, chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday issued permit letters to 19 more industries. Setting up of these 19 industries will see an investment of `1,087.37 crore and provide employment to 5,321 people.

These industries include mobile manufacturer Micromax, helicopter cabin making unit and solar plants among others. The state government issued licences to 17 new industries within two weeks of launching the new industrial policy – Telangana State Industrial Project Approval and Self Certification System (TS-iPASS).

“Investments are pouring into Telangana state. Many industrialists are coming forward to invest in the state knowing about the state industrial policy which is hassle-free and corruption-free. It is a single window policy,” Rao said after handing over the permit letters to industries at the Secretariat.

The units which were accorded permissions on Wednesday will come up in Rangareddy, Mahbubnagar, Medak and Warangal districts. The units include among others pharmaceutical formulations, helicopter cabin kits, steel and iron alloy castings, footwear accessories, cell phones etc.

One Spanish company CHEMO has also received the approval letter.
