Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called on Governor ESL Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday and reportedly discussed ongoing controversies between AP and Telangana over universities.
Rao was accompanied by Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy. Earlier, AP HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao called on the Governor and lodged a complaint against the Telangana government over matters pertaining to the Ambedkar Open University, JNTU and the Telugu University.
KCR reportedly explained Telangana’s version to the Governor on these matters. He also informed the Governor about his government plans to appoint separate Chancellors to all the State universities.
The TS government is against the Governor continuing as chancellor for all the State universities. Meanwhile, Telangana intelligence chief B Shivdhar Reddy too called on the Governor.
