Kavitha promises support to NCCI

Member of Parliament Kalvakuntla Kavitha has assured the members of the Nizamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) that she would extend her support for the promotion of industry and business in the district.

Attending as the chief guest at the installation of office-bearers and members of the executive committee of the NCCI for the term 2015-17 here on Tuesday, she said she would be in the forefront in achieving whatever was needed from the government side to establish industries here.

“Mere speeches on the dais will not serve the purpose. Let us seriously debate and discuss on the industries that can be set up here basing on the resources available. As far as my knowledge goes there is ample scope for promoting four-five industries in the district,” she said.

She announced Rs.20 lakh for the NCCI activities from her MPLAD fund.

Mayor Akula Sujatha, MLCs V. Gangadhar Goud, D. Rajeswar and Akula Lalitha and MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta were among those who attended the investiture ceremony.

Anil Reddy Vennam acted as installation officer.

New office-bearers

NCCI new executive committee C. Guru Prasad (president), Shyam Sundar Agarwal (vice-president), G. Venkatanarsa Goud (secretary), C. Vijayakumar (treasurer) and Meesala Sudhakar Rao (joint secretary) and members took the oath of office and secrecy on the occasion.
