Kaleswaram project bags “A” grade from Rural Electrification Corporation (REC).

It was time for the Opposition leaders to sit and take note. The Kaleswaram Irrigation Project Limited (KIPL) has bagged the A grade from REC, recognised by the Central government.

The Kaleswaram is the biggest corporation in the country to secure the certificate. The REC studies and gives grades to various irrigation projects in the country. It takes into consideration every aspect of the project such as – fund mobilisation, utility, repayment of loans, end result of the project, and maintenance and supervision. On every count, the REC personnel were satisfied by the performance of the Kaleswaram project. The A grade by the REC speaks volumes about the transparency with which the project was executed from start to finish and now the ongoing maintenance.

The state government had been telling how the prestigious project was conceived and executed. But the Opposition parties have been continuing their rhetoric. Now the A grade by the REC is expected to silence them.

Chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao took up the project very prestigiously and worked hard till the completion of the same. He set up the Kaleswaram Irrigation Project with irrigation secretary Rajath Kumar as chairman, engineer in chief Hariram as managing director, engineers in chief Mr Muralidhar and Venkateswarlu, deputy secretary Ms Subamma, the chief engineer Mr V Ramesh, TS Transco director J Suryaprakash and additional secretary R Ravi as members.

In 2019 the corporation was entrusted with the maintenance of Palamuru Ranga Reddy project.

The stupendous Kaleswaram project was completed in a record time obtaining all the clearances within one year and is useful to one crore people directly.
