The concluding program of Kakatiya Festival has began on a grand note in Warangal. Several cultural programs are being held at Khila Warangal Fort, 1000 Pillar Temple and Ramappa for past three days.
The festival marks the completion of 750 years since Rani Rudrama was coronated, 800 years since Ramappa temple was built and 700 years since 1000 Pillar Temple was built.
These celebrations have begun in last December. Several Telanganites say that the AP state government has not allocated enough funds for these celebrations.
BC Welfare Minister Basvaraju Saraih, IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, Warangal MP Siricilla Rajaiah, Tourism Department Special Secretary Chandana Khan, Tourism Dept Commissioner Suni Kumar Gupta, Tourism Dept MD KS Reddy, Warangal Collector G Kishan, DIG Kantha Rao attended the celebrations.
A special Sound & Light Show was inaugurated at Warangal Fort.
