MLC Kavitha has made a sharp criticism on her Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody remarking that it was indeed the BJP custody but not the CBI custody. As her CBI custody ends today, she was presented before the Rouse Avenue court in Delhi, where she addressed the media.
Kavitha said that CBI officers are towing the line of BJP leaders and asking the same questions as those put forth in mainstream discussions by the BJP. She added that the investigation officials are asking her the same questions from the past two years and there is nothing new.
The court granted for judicial custody until the 23rd of the month, directing her transfer to Tihar Jail.
Despite the CBI’s plea for a 14-day extension, the court decreed a 9-day custody. Kavitha was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate officials on the 16th of last month in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case.
