The official should eschew the routine methods and be creative in discharging their functions, said the chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Interacting with the ministers and officials of various departments at a review meeting, he opined that all sections of the society should be empowered economically. The officials should work as a team and ensure that citizens are happy with the services of government departments.
The CM reviewed the functioning of the municipal ministry and Nizamabad municipal corporation.
The municipal administration minister K T Rama Rao apprised the chief minister about the initiatives taken up by his ministry.
The chief minister laid emphasis on improving Nizamabad similar on the lines of Khammam district that witnessed massive development in the recent past.
The chief minister said he would personally visit and take stock of the situation in Nizamabad. He said since the new collectorate complex is coming up, the offices vacated by the various departments to shift to the new collectorate complex should be listed out. Those old buildings and land should be listed out and how best they could be utilised for other purposes should be studied. He wanted the officials to prepare a report on the issue.
He observed that people were happy with the state government functioning and migration from Telangana has stopped. Those in the towns and cities are going back to their villages as things improved for better than the past. Nearly 30 lakh people from various states are earning a livelihood in Telangana state, which is proud of the state.
The economy, infrastructure, welfare and development in Telangana made it a destination point for many professionals and daily wage labour as well, he pointed out.
