The State Government in a desperate mood to curb the all section strike has arrested its own minister and MPs. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy along with another minister who resigned, Jupalli Krishna Rao, MPs Rajaiah, Madhu Yaskhi, Ponnam Prabhakar, MLAs KTR and Etela Rajender. This was done, when the leaders laid siege to Vidyut Soudha condemning the electricity cuts to the agriculture sector.
The leaders were demanding a written assurance from the Transco authorities to supply uninterrupted power supply to farmers. They staged a dharna for 2 hours supporting the electricity employees before the police rushed in and arrested the leaders.
In Nanakramguda, T activists under the leadership of Vimalakka occupied the EMAAR properties office demanding the return of its lands. They alleged that the land allocation was illegal and corporate companies were given lands belonging to the poor of Telangana region. Police have failed to convince Vimalakka to climb down from the 3 floor building. They sought Gaddar’s help, but he is yet to respond.
Meanwhile, T-JAC has declared its agenda for the next few days. There will be rastarokos at 100 places in and around Hyderabad on 28th and complete Telangana bandh on 30th. Talking to media, TRS supremo KCR called upon the T people to celebrate Bathukamma with the spirit of Telangana movement. He requested women folk to decorate Bathukammas with flowers and T flags. Also, he asked the Telangana people to celebrate Dasara by exchanging ‘Jammi” and Telangana wishes. Overall Hyderabad saw a stride of T activities and kept up the momentum.
