In terms of per capita income, the Hyderabad and Medchal districts ranked second and third in the GSDPS report for the year 2020-2021. When compared with the bigger states, Telangana ranked top on various fronts but studied district-wise, the state surpassed even Mumbai in terms of development and welfare schemes. Hyderabad city is witnessing rapid development with the creation of more infrastructure on par with cities across the world.
The per capita income of Ranga Reddy district is 6.59 lakh while the per capita income of Hyderabad district is 3.51 lakh and that of Medchal district is 2.40 lakh.
Hyderabad city bagged the `most liveable city’ award five times. With IT giants Apple, Amazon, Google and other companies investing thousands of crores, the demand for office space has surpassed that of Bangalore city. The real estate sector picked up the pace and now Hyderabad city has got infrastructure on par with the global cities.
The Mahabunagar, Nalgonda, Yadadri and Sanga Reddy districts also witnessed an increase in per capita income.
