From Brickbats to Bouquets

Until a few days ago Komatireddy Venkat Reddy would not even dare to visit Nalgonda – his home constituency, without a posse of armed police security. But today, he is sitting on a stage in the heart of Nalgonda town as thousands of Telangana supporters came in from all 10 districts of the region to visit him.

Yesterday’s brickbats have turned into multi-color bouquets, as Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s fast-unto-death for Telangana entered the second day.

The most important person to extend solidarity to the resigned state minister was Prof. Kodandaram, who said the movement is in the process of changing gears and would intensify further.

Nalgonda Congress MP Gutha Sukhendar Reddy challenged the TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu to give him one reason why the state should stay united.

TRS Politburo member Karne Prabhakar blasted all the T-Cong and T-TDP leaders, who promised on martyrs and then reneged on their promise to resign from their posts.

Other prominent leaders who visited the deeksha shibiram include Raghu, convener of Telangana Electricity Employees JAC, Munugode MLA Ujjini Yadagiri Rao, Congress MLC Mohan Reddy, Advocate JAC chairman Rajender Reddy, CPI Ex-MLa Palla Venkat Reddy, Telangana MSOs association president Kuldeep Sahani, OU-JAC leader Gadari Kishore, cine hero Rafi.

The cultural troupe of Rasamai Balakishan and Swarna enthralled the people with motivating Telangana movement songs.
