A total of 15,600 houses were ready for occupation under the double bedroom scheme launched by the TRS government in the state near Kolluru on the city outskirts that comes under Tellapur Municipality.
Chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to inaugurate in the next month.
The state government spent a total of 1,422.15 crore and built 115 blocks. A 10.05-kilometre drinking water pipeline and 10.60 underground electricity lines were laid. As many as 137 transformers, 528 poles, and 11 high mast poles were erected. Three shopping complexes with 118 shops form part of this mega township.
Other unique features include water harvesting structures, a walking track on a drainage line up to 10.55 kilometres, and a 13.50-kilometer road with a width of six to 36 metres.
The township would accommodate about one lakh people and once occupied by the beneficiaries, it will turn out into a new village in itself.
