Entrepreneurship worthier than employment: MP Kavitha

Entrepreneurship and self employment is always worthier than settling for a job, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, Nizamabad MP and Telangana Jagruthi (TJ) founder said.

“There is a huge gap between the syllabus taught in the colleges and actual skills required by industry. This initiative will not just make youth fully equipped for the jobs but also will improve entrepreneur skills,” said K Kavitha speaking on Tuesday on the sidelines of signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Telangana Jagruthi and Telangana Industrial Federation (TIF) on the occasion.

The MoU was signed for enabling youth who undergo training at Telangana Jagruthi skill development centres to get hands on industrial training and job placements at the industries run by Telangana Industrial Federation (TIF).

“Though there are hundreds of engineering colleges in the state, instead of turning out qualified engineers, they are making graduates who are ready to do even auto driver job. Such is the quality of education,” she said.

“Telangana youth are creative and have entrepreneurial skills. But they should be provided a platform to use those skills. Therefore Jagruthi joined hands with TIF, for training today’s youth into entrepreneurs, who can be job providers, rather than job seekers,” further said Kavitha.

Under MOU, while TJ will select youth who have attitude to be trained in different skills from all over Telangana, TIF will train them and provide them jobs.

Bhongir MP Boora Narsaiah Goud urged industrialists to come up with industries which provide large number of jobs with less investment. Narsaiah said Telangana government may soon come up with Telangana Manufacturing Hub (TMHub) to encourage startups in the space of manufacturing sector.
