Education City at Gajwel soon, says KCR

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has unveiled a beautiful plan for the constituency he represents, with plans to develop an Education City on 20 acres with high-rise buildings at Sangapur.

Along with Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, the Chief Minister said on Thursday that the Gajwel Education City would also have an integrated office complex, vegetable market and a Rythu Bazar, for which funds would be sanctioned immediately. “I had visited Monda market constructed by the Nizam about 144 years ago. It’s beautiful and clean,” Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao said while addressing the meeting of Gajwel Nagara Panchayat.

The Chief Minister has also proposed two auditoriums with a seating capacity of 500 and 1,200 respectively and abundant parking place, municipal cum water works office, bus stand, shaadi khana, police complex, transforming existing hospital into Mother and Child care centre and establishing a 100-bed hospital, Smritivanam (graveyard), improvement of market yard and renovation of Pandavulacheruvu. He directed officials to commence tank work immediately and complete it before the rainy season.

“Clear all encroachments that obstruct the renovation of the tank. The Collector and police officials will be with you,” he told the irrigation officials. Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister visited Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Nachagiri and offered ‘pattu vastralu’. Collector Rahul Bojja, Joint Collector A. Sarath, Lok Sabha member K. Prabhakar Reddy, GADA special officer Hanumantha Rao and others were present.
