Dallas Area Telangana Association celebrated 1st Anniversary of Telangana Formation Day and Cultural Night on June 14th at Southfork Ranch Allen TX.
Over 1500 Telugu and Telangana enthusiasts all around the Texas participated. The event
was started by playing American, Indian & Telangana anthems.
DATA founding member and Event Coordinator Mr. Mahendar Ganapuram started the
program by requesting the attendees to say “Jai Telangana”, Mr. Mahendar explained the
importance of remembering “Telangana Ideologist / Siddantha Kartha” Prof Sri Jayshankar Garu” and all the fallen martyrs and requested to observe a moment of silence. He also explained DATA past activities and charity programs for the past 5 years, and requested continued support from everyone.
DATA Cultural Chair Mr. Srinivas Thippana introduced singers Sri Vandemataram Srinivas, Sri Anuj Gurwara, Miss Madhoo and Miss Nithya to the audience. All the singers sung some popular numbers in Telangana and Telugu, Hindi Movies, later NRI kids performed various dances to the popular numbers. Everyone enjoyed the evening with delicious food from Pista House and Swagruha Kitchen. DATA thanks their support.
DATA Chairman Sri Pramod Prodduturi thanked all the sponsors, donors, volunteers,
choreographers and performers. He also thanked the Bathukamma Dasara committees for
their unwavering attention to the festival.
DATA Co-Chair Sri Ram Kasarla thanked community Organizations such as Telangana
American Telugu Association (TATA), American Telugu Association (ATA) and Telangana
