CM KCR takes stock of the flood situation in the state

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao held a high-level meeting with officials of various departments and reviewed the flood situation. He wanted them to be on alert as there was a forecast of rain on Saturday and Sunday as well. He sought to know the situation at Bhadrachalam, the inflows and outflows of river Godavari.

The officials apprised him of their preparedness to organise relief camps, evaluation of flood damage, and other paraphernalia available to them. Mr KCR asked the officials about the water levels at Kaleshwaram and other projects and if they posed any threat to the life and property of people.

Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari explained that she was in touch with the respective district collectors and briefed the chief minister about the present situation. On Friday, the Chief Minister personally monitored the situation and rushed the key officials of revenue, police and other departments to Bhadrachalam.
