The Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Yadadri has been witnessing huge crowds for the past few days.

It was the dream of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to build a temple, a pride of Telangana after formation of a separate Telangana state similar on the lines of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam. He zeroed in on the centuries old Yadagirigutta temple in Nalgonda district. He allocated crores of rupees for its renovation and made it a most sought after pilgrimage centre now.
This temple once used to get money from the Jeedikal Sri Rama temple in Jangaon district for its maintenance. Now it has become a beehive of activity drawing thousands of devotees. Once it witnessed only tens and hundreds of devotees now attracting people in thousands. On an average about 50,000 and above devotees throng this temple.
The temple located on beautiful hillocks surrounded by lush greenery and bucolic environs with modern facilities like smooth roads, cottages and luxury suites made it an ultimate and peerless place of worship and tourist attraction.
CM KCR visited the temple umpteen times during the course of renovation inspecting the ongoing works, held meetings with the architects and shared his ideas to make it a pride of Telangana.
The temple is slowly emerging as prestigious and pious as the TTD on all parameters, be it number of pilgrims or revenue or special pujas.
