Telangana chief minister Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao extended greetings to women on the eve of international women’s day today.
Women are inferior to non and they have equal capabilities. They can equally contribute to the family and society.
Recognising their abilities and needs, the BRS government in Telangana has taken up a lot of initiatives. It has launched welfare and health schemes that are aimed at caring for prenatal to post-natal needs, and monthly pensions to lonely and elderly women. The Shaadi Mubarak/ Kalyana Laxmi aimed at supporting poor families in performing marriages of their daughters.
The welfare schemes aimed at the empowerment of women launched by the Telangana government made it an ideal state in the country, he said.
