On the eve of state formation day, Chief minister Mr KCR has given away Rs 2 crore each to international boxers Nikhath Zareen and Isha Singh who excelled at a recent international event held at Istanbul, Turkey.
The CM also gave Rs one crore to Padmasri awarded D Mogilaiah. Mr KCR also gave them house plots as well. He had lunch with them at Pragathi Bhahavan and he later felicitated them earlier at Public Gardens as they brought laurels to the state.
It may be noted that the state government has decided to set up a playground at the village level and shape good sportspersons in the state.
CM KCR had held a meeting on the issue and instructed officials to identify places and buy necessary equipment for the purpose.
