The state government ministers led by Mr KTR were only disappointed as the Union ministers failed to give any assurance on paddy procurement.
After over three hour long discussions, the union ministers said they would spell out their policy after meeting once again on November 26.
The centre however made it clear that they will not procure boiled rice any more.
When the Telangana ministers sought to know how much paddy they would buy during the rainy season, the union ministers failed to give a proper answer.
The union ministers also failed to give a schedule of procurement and they will give it next year.
As a result of the indifferent attitude of the union government, the farmers are being confused all over. The Telangana ministers were taken aback by the Central Government’s cold response to the plight of farmers.
