The BRS working president Mr KT Rama Rao has called upon the party cadre to organise protests across the state over the hike in gas cylinder prices by the BJP government. The party will be organising a protest today across the state. Mr Rama Rao held a teleconference with the ministers and party functionaries on the issue.
It had become a habit for the BJP government to wait for elections in the states to get over and then immediately increase the prices of essential commodities that reflected the party’s meanness, KTR said. Mr Rama Rao was furious over the decision and said that before Modi came to power in 2014, the gas cylinder price was Rs. 400 and it rose to Rs. 1,155. It will impact the prices of other commodities causing untold misery to the people in the country.
Meanwhile, Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and Satyavathi Rathod, and MLC Vani Devi sought to know what does Modi’s ‘Ache Din’ mean. Is it burdening the people by frequently increasing the prices of essential commodities? they posed.
The BRS party is planning to register its protest over the issue in all towns, mandal headquarters, and constituencies.
