Andhra Pradesh State Assembly has concluded the discussion on the AP State Reorganization Bill 2013 today.
Before adjourning the house Sine Die, Speaker Nadendla Manohar has read out the resolution notice moved by CM Kiran and asked for a voice vote. Amidst the din, Speaker announced that the motion is carried through voice vote.
Since the Speaker announced that the discussion on AP State Reorganization Bill has concluded and then took up the CM’s notice, technically this resolution has no bearing on the statehood bill.
The Parliament will now go ahead with passing the Telangana statehood bill in the second week of February.
