The BRS senior leader and MLC K Kavitha has appealed to the citizens to send the rare, historic and new Bathukamma songs to the Bharat Jagruthi which is documenting them.
Founder of the Bharat Jagruthi, Ms Kavitha released a video of her singing Bathukamma songs along with the popular folk singers on Monday on various social media platforms. She was reviewing the arrangements being made for the grand celebrations of the ensuing Bathukamma festival, the festival of flowers. The women folk in Telangana celebrate the festival for nine days preceding the Dasara festival. It is the most colourful festival celebrated with rich cultural gaiety and devotion.
Ms Kavitha asked the citizens to send their collection of songs to Whatsapp number 89856 99999 which would be hosted on the Jagruthi site. She also asked the people to post their favourite Bathukamma songs to be posted on social media tagging the BJS and sharing it through its app.
