As elections are around the corner, people from different political parties line up to lure voters. They promise heaven on earth and whatnot. People should guard against them, said Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao at a public meeting in Medak.
Is it possible for a party that failed to implement a Rs. 200 monthly pension to give Rs. 4,000 per month Should people believe them? Those who want to scrap the farmer-friendly Dharani be allowed to do so? What is wrong with Dharani which has empowered the farmers and aided the state government in transferring Rythu Bandhu without any hassles? Mr KCR posed a series of questions to the crowds who agreed in unison for the continuity of Dharani, the 24-hour power supply and the ongoing welfare programmes.
“The Congress leaders are virtually begging for one chance. Not one chance, people gave them chance for over 50 years. Why it did not occur to them to give free power for farmers, improve irrigation, enhance pensions and bring development,” KCR sought to know.
CM KCR said that the BRS government has put the state on the top in many aspects. The NITI Aayog and RBI reports speak the truth. Just now the farmers are settling down. Those who abandoned their land for want of water and power turned as auto-drivers in Hyderabad. They all came back due to the availability of water, free power and schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Beema. A lot more needs to be done still.
“If you all bless BRS party and elect Padma Devender Reddy with a much bigger majority, everything will be possible,” Mr KCR said. The CM said he will take the responsibility of developing Medak district and said Mr Harish Rao will be in charge for the purpose.
Earlier, Mr KCR inaugurated the newly built Integrated District Offices Complex and District Police Office. He promised to allocate more funds to the local bodies. A new degree college will be sanctioned to the district besides upgrading Ramayampet as a revenue division. Health Minister T Harish Rao, Home Minister Md Mahood Ali and R&B Minister V Prashanth Reddy and other public representatives were present.
