Assembly adjourned until Jan 3rd

AP state Assembly has been adjourned until Jan 3rd 2014. Speaker Nadendla Manohar announced this today afternoon.

The house will meet in two instalments between Jan 3rd and Jan 10th and again from Jan 16th to Jan 23rd to discuss the Telangana statehood bill.

Taking out the holidays, the house might debate the statehood bill for about 13 days.

Earlier in the day both Assembly and Council had to be adjourned as Seemandhra MLAs created ruckus in both the houses.

TRS MLA KTR said that it is the Seemandhra people, who will lose if their MLAs don’t discuss the AP State Reorganization Bill.

TRS MLA Harish Rao also echoed the same feeling. He said that the formation of Telangana cannot be stalled by stalling the discussion on Telangana statehood bill.
