Another murder by Seemandhra govt

Raji Reddy, a Telangana activist who was severely ill after  inhaling tear gas on Sept 30th during Telangana March, died at Mediciti hospitals yesterday night. This is a direct result of the inhuman oppression that is going on in the Telangana region.

It should be reminded here that the Seemandhra government had blocked all routes to Necklace road on 30th September Telangana March. Police had set up barricades and wire mesh to prevent people from coming to Telangana March.

Police resorted to lathicharge and lobbed tear gas shells at people at Secretariat, Tankbund, I-Max, Khairatabad X Roads and even at the meeting dais on that day.

Raji Reddy was severely affected by the tear gas used by police at Secretariat on that day and was hospitalized. He died yesterday night due to severe injury to his lungs.

TJAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram, and BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy, who rushed to the hospital on knowing about this news were arrested by the police. Repeated appeals by Telanganites that they would take Raji Reddy’s body in a procession to Gun Park, fell on deaf ears as the police forcefully shifted the body to his residence in Kukaptpally. His last rites would be performed at KPHB crematorium tomorrow morning.

Raji Reddy is survived by his wife and two kids Vamshi Reddy (12) and Sai Reddy (9).

His friends say Raji Reddy was very active in Kukatpally JAC’s activities. He originally hails from Karimnagar district.
