Adani Group chief, Coca Cola chief meet KCR

Adani Group chairman Goutham Adani, and Irial Finan, executive vice president of Coca Cola, called on the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday.

The Adani Group chief said that his company would be in a position to produce 20,000 MW power by 2020 and supply to needy States. Mr. Finan said Coca Cola was keen on setting up a mega plant with an investment of Rs. 1,000 crore in Telangana.

T. Krishna Kumar, regional head India of the Coca Cola company, and company officials, were present. Mr. Adani explained about the Group profile and activities being taken up.

The Chief Minister said that there is a shortage of power and will be happy if Adani Group comes forward with its ideas to ease out the power problem.

The Chief Minister told him that his government was coming out with an industrial policy by which a single window clearance will be in place. He pointed out that the government has already identified land to provide to the industries after developing it in all aspects, including infrastructural facilities.

Mr. Irial Finan and Mr Krishna Kumar told the Chief Minister that Telangana is the biggest market for Coca Cola. He said the company is interested to setup a large mega plant with Rs.1,000 crore investment in the State and needs Government support. The team also assured that they will participate in the community development programme of the Government. The Chief Minister assured the delegation of the Government’s full support, including identifying suitable land for their plant.

Rajeev Sharma, Chief Secretary, S. Narsing Rao, Principal Secretary to CM, Jayesh Ranjan, Managing Director Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, were present in the meeting.
