The State government on Saturday issued clearances to the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) to fill up 543 vacancies in the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development departments.
This is the third such approval from the government after it agreed to fill up posts for carrying out water grid project works, and in the police department.
According to the orders issued Saturday, the finance department gave its nod to fill up 418 vacancies in the category of assistant executive engineer and 125 vacancies in assistant engineer in Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, through direct recruitment.
It ordered the secretary of the TSPSC to follow instructions relating to zone/ district-wise vacancy position, roster points and qualifications among others in filling up the vacancies.
Earlier, the State government gave its consent to recruit 3,500 personnel in category of constables and others in the police department. Similarly, it had agreed to fill up 1238 staff in the RWS department. The notifications from TSPSC are awaited in this regard.
