Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, when he was in opposition, was infamous for making wild accusations against his political opponents and posing challenges. Revanth made several baseless allegations against the then CM KCR and the then minister KTR, but he hardly proved any of those allegations with facts and figures.
Old habits die hard, and he continued making such unfounded accusations even after becoming the CM, such as KCR buying land cruisers and hiding them in Vijayawada. However, this time, he is at the receiving end and left clueless by the challenges made by BRS working president KTR.
In an interview with a news channel, KTR dared CM Revanth Reddy and Union Minister Kishan Reddy to a lie detector test on the phone tapping issue. KTR challenged Revanth Reddy to undergo a lie detector test to clarify whether he was involved in tapping his ministers’ phones.
He remarked that allegedly the phones of ministers Bhatti Vikramarka and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy were being tapped. The recent Chennai customs notice to Ponguleti’s son in a luxury watch smuggling case and bad PR about Bhatti further strengthen the argument.
Additionally, responding to the allegations made against him on the phone tapping issue, KTR stated that he was ready for a lie detector test or Narco analysis test and clarified that he has no involvement whatsoever.
Also, KTR has been challenging Revanth to contest from the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha seat, as he is the sitting MP. KTR said that if Revanth accepts the challenge to contest from Malkajgiri, he would contest on the BRS ticket.
Will the man who is known for posing challenges accept his opponent’s challenges? Only time will answer.
