An acknowledgement of the success of the Telangana Model. As per the National Health Mission – HMIS report, Telangana is at the top place in the country with 100% institutional deliveries. The state is leading the nation in maternal and child health care.
Telangana is the first state in India to achieve 100% institutional deliveries out of total reported deliveries. Also, the percentage of home deliveries has come down to zero from 0.17% in 2020-21. This achievement demonstrates the state government’s commitment to strengthening the maternal healthcare system in Telangana.
Expressing his happiness on the success, Health Minister Harish Rao wrote on Twitter, “Only under the BRS government, maternal and child health services have successfully reached the grassroot level. Telangana is 1st state in the world sharing this feat with 61 other countries, as per WHO. This is the Arogya Telangana model, where we compete with other countries and race to the top.”
