Dalita Rakshana Nidhi set up with Rs.76 crores

The state government has released Rs. 38.32 crore of its share to match Rs 38.32 crore collected from the beneficiaries of Dalit Bandhu and set up Dalita Rakshana Nidhi. It was aimed at helping the beneficiaries of Dalit Bandhu who in case suffer loss due to unforeseen circumstances, natural disasters or other causes.

The Rakshana Nidhi will come to the rescue of the beneficiaries in case of losses and it will be under the guardianship of the respective district collector.
It may be noted that the state government has launched the Dalit Bandhu scheme that envisages a one-time grant of Rs. 10 lakh to Dalits to enable them to set up their own enterprise. So far 38,323 dalits got the benefit at the rate of Rs. 10 lakh each.

Now the state government has deposited a total of Rs. 76.64 crore toward Dalit Rakshana Nidhi in all the 119 Assembly constituencies in the state.
This is another unique facility thought out and being implemented by chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. This shows his commitment towards the Dalit community. The Dalit Bandhu not only helps them but also rescues them in times of crisis through the Dalit Rakshana Nidhi.
