TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu showers praise on CM KCR

The former Chief Minister of AP and TDP supremo heaped praises on the Telangana government for its commitment to farmers’ welfare. Free power, increased area of cultivation and welfare schemes for farmers have resulted in rise in the value of land. “If one sells one acre of land in Telangana, one could buy 100 acres in Andhra Pradesh,” he reiterated.

Addressing the media persons at Mangalagiri on Tuesday, Mr Chandrababu Naidu said despite pressure from the Centre to fix meters to agriculture motors, CM KCR refused to budge. As a result, the Central government refused to raise the 0.5 per cent limit on Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM). The Telangana government suffered a loss to the tune of Rs. 25,000 crore. However, Mr KCR did not bow.

The massive improvement of irrigation and agriculture, the growing number of industries and the laying of new roads changed the very face of Telangana. The land rates increased enormously making people richer. Farmers are living with great pride and self-respect in Telangana state. “There is a lot of difference between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh now,” he said. Standing against the Central government’s pressure tactics and continuing farmer-friendly policies reveal how committed Mr KCR on farmers’ welfare, Mr Chandrababu Naidu stressed.
