Rs. 1,190 cr funds released for Telangana Gram Panchayats

The state government has released Rs. 1,190 crores to the Gram Panchayats in the state. The sarpanches association thanked the Chief Minister Mr KCR for his gesture. The funds are meant to undertake development works and pay the bills due to contractors and also for the salaries of the sanitation workers.

Finance Minister T Harish Rao and Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao held meetings with the chief secretary A Santhi Kumari for the purpose and released Rs. 1,190 crores to the Gram Panchayats in the state.

It may be noted that CM KCR has focused more on the development of villages. He stressed on sanitation and greenery. He sanctioned tractors to every village panchayat besides recruiting additional staff. Telangana state villages bagged 19 out of 20 best villages awards in the country.
