Chief Minister KCR has directed the officials to make arrangements for distribution podu land to the tribals as promised. The distribution of land to tribals will be held from June 24 to 30.
CM KCR said the Rythu Bandhu scheme would also be extended to the tribals getting the podu land. About four lakh acres of land will be distributed to 1.55 lakh tribals. The officials already conducted the village level meetings and prepared records for the purpose.
Also, the state government has decided to launch the Gruha Laxmi scheme from July. CM KCR has directed the officials to make necessary arrangements. The state government will be extending an assistance of Rs. 3 lakhs in a phased manner to the poor to construct their house in their plots.
The state government is already implementing the double bedroom housing scheme for the homeless poor. The Gruha Laxmi scheme is aimed at helping people construct the house in their own plots. The officials would review the progress of construction and release the money in three installments.
