Revanth naming Seethakka as CM candidate irks Congress party seniors

The Congress leaders who were in an upbeat mood after the Karnataka election results putting up a false camaraderie are slowly falling into pieces again. Again the claims and counterclaims for the Chief Minister’s chair divide them further and further. The recent remarks by TPCC president A Revanth Reddy who said Mulugu MLA D Seethakka who belongs to the Adivasi tribe might become the CM if the party is voted for power in Telangana state have enraged the seniors.

A section of leaders say they were aimed at hurting CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka who too is contending for the post in the SC category. The Congress party leaders are trying to put a check on one another and outsmart each other to the best of their abilities at the cost of the party prospects. Some within the party opined that Mr Revanth Reddy is acting smart by taking up MLA Seethakka’s name only to check the seniors and Bhatti Vikramarka from laying claim to the CM’s post.

Mr Bhatti Vikramarka is accused of hijacking the public meeting organised by Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. With Rahul Gandhi appreciating and felicitating Bhatti Vikramarka, his rival group is seething with anger. The Congress party forever remains a ‘divided house’ a sobriquet the leaders earned for it.
