PM Modi has no locus standi to visit Telangana state: KTR

Minister and BRS working president Mr KT Rama Rao has said the Prime Minister who questioned the very formation of Telangana state has no locus standi to visit the state now. Mr Modi found fault with the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the formation of a separate Telangana state in the Parliament. He humiliated the people who struggled for a separate Telangana for six decades and lost many lives in the process.

Mr Modi seems ignorant of the people’s aspirations and reluctant to read the AP Reorganisation Act. He is coming out with his own ill-informed facts. Modi is known for enacting drama and hatching conspiracies against rival political parties. Not a single promise was kept up nor treated the Telangana state on par with other states in disbursing funds or setting up national institutions. “The tribal university is pending. The steel plant at Bayyaram is denied on the grounds of non-feasibility. The railway coach factory is denied and BJP is trying to console people with a little wagon overhauling workshop at Kaziet,” Mr Rama Rao pointed out.

The visit of Prime Minister Modi is aimed at gaining political mileage as the Assembly elections are nearing. However, the people of Telangana are well aware of the injustices meted out to the state by BJP and Mr Modi.
