Pensions for the differently abled persons hiked by Rs. 1000, CM KCR announces at Mancherial

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said it was decided to immediately enhance the pension from Rs. 3,016 to Rs 4,116 for the differently abled persons in the state. The eligible physically challenged persons would get a Rs. 1,000 additional pension from next month. He was addressing a well-attended public meeting at Mancherial on Friday evening. Earlier, he inaugurated the BRS office, and district collectorate complex and laid the foundation stone for the Chennur lift irrigation scheme among others.

The CM also conveyed the good news to the employees of SiNgareni Collieries Company Limited(SCCL). He said Rs. 700 crore would be disbursed as a bonus to the employees during Dasara festival. The Congress government destroyed the SCCL with its bad policies and sold a 49 per cent stake to the central government. After the formation of Telangana, the BRS which came to power has brought the company on the right track.

The SCCL is the lifeline of the people of Telangana. Now the BJP government at the Centre is trying to liquidate and obliterate the very company. Though coal is abundant in the country, the central government is forcing power-producing companies and state governments to buy coal from foreign countries only to favour corporate companies. KCR asked people to be careful about the people selling the words promising moon and stars. When they were in power, they did nothing. During 55 years of ruling, the Congress party failed to provide basic needs such as drinking water and electricity. Very sad, he said.
