Tucked away in forests the tiny Narsampet was known only for factional feuds and no development at all. This town now has registered phenomenal growth in paddy production from 35,000 acres to 1.35 lakh acres. It was all done due to initiation from MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy who revived the Pakhal ayacut and brought Godavari waters.
Making these observations at a grand public meeting here today, CM KCR has said those were very gloomy days devoid of any water, current and agricultural activity. With committed leadership and vision, the Narasampet town now boasts of a medical college, good roads, improved irrigation and whatnot. Mr KCR said unable to digest the progress of Telangana state, the Congress leaders are hatching a conspiracy hoodwinking people with false promises.
It is up to the people to say if the Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Dharani are of any use. They were all aimed at empowering the poor farmers. Now the Congress leaders vow to undo all those and bring back the corruption and red tap in governance. A leader from Karnataka challenges us to see them giving five hours of current. But here, our farmers get 24 hours of free power. “They talk all nonsense. Let them do it. But people of this state should be wise while casting votes,” he said.
People should think about what is good and what is bad for them. We have all seen those days when we suffered for a pot of drinking water let alone agriculture. When the Telangana state is progressing striking a balance between welfare and development, leaders from Gujarat and New Delhi come here to teach us and divert people as they are greedy for power.
“We should allow them to have their say. One Sharmila said she would send money to defeat Sudarshan Reddy. Should we allow them to buy us with money”,” Mr KCR sought to know as the crowds burst into cheers. He appealed to people to go back to their villages and discuss what good the BRS government has done all these years. If you want them to be continued, you should all vote in great numbers for BRS party.
