Minister KTR’s business trip to Dubai attracts investments worth Rs. 1,040 crs

Industries Minister KT Rama Rao’s business trip to Dubai is off to a successful start. The Minister met with the leadership teams of various companies in a bid to attract investments for Telangana. On this productive day, Telangana attracted investment worth more than Rs. 1,040 crores across various sectors. The Minister thanked the companies for choosing Telangana as the destination for investing or expanding their operations.

LuLu Group

The LuLu group, a renowned UAE-based company, has announced its expansion plans in Telangana. The LuLu group delegation led by Chairman Yusuff Ali met with Industries Minister KT Rama Rao in Dubai. On the occasion, Ali explained to the Minister about the group’s ongoing operations in shopping malls, food processing, and retail sectors in the state.

Expressing his utmost satisfaction on the state of their operations in Telangana, Ali thanked Minister KTR and the Telangana government for the support. The LuLu Group’s chairman announced that based on their positive experiences in the state, the company has decided to expand their operations in Telangana.

The company has come forward to invest in the proposed Aqua Cluster in Sircilla district and expressed interest to collect aqua products worth Rs. 1000 crores annually from the region. The proposed investment will be focussed on cold storage and fish processing units and has a potential to create direct employment for 500 people.

DP World


Industries Minister KTR held a productive meeting with DP World Group EVP Mr. Anil Mohta and Director of Project Development Mr Saloosh Shastree in Dubai, today. As a result of the meeting, DP World agreed to invest a total of Rs. 215 Crores in Telangana.

This investment includes expansion of Inland Container Depot operations in Hyderabad with an investment of Rs 165 crores and establishing a 5000-pallet capacity cold storage in Medchal with an investment of Rs 50 crores.

During the meeting, Minister KTR also discussed potential DP World partnerships for MMLP and Export zones in Telangana. DP World is a leading global trade enabler and port operator.

In the meeting, Minister KTR highlighted the achievements of the Government of Telangana and also mentioned the growth and development that took place in the State in the last nine years. He also added that Telangana State achieved remarkable progress in the field of agriculture under the leadership of CM KCR.

Minister KTR stated that this investment of DP World will further strengthen the logistics sector of Telangana. He assured the leadership team of DP World that the Government of Telangana would provide all the support needed to expand their operations in the State.

NAFFCO Group

On his business tour to Dubai, IT and Industries Minister KTR strikes an investment deal of Rs. 700 crores with Naffco. The firm will set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Telangana. Naffco has been recognised as a global leader in fire safety with operations in 100+ countries.

Additionally, NAFFCO will collaborate with the National Academy of Construction (NAC) which is located in Telangana to establish a Fire Safety Training Academy.

This announcement came after a fruitful meeting held between Minister KTR and the leadership team of Naffco led by CEO Khalid Al Khatib in Dubai.

Naffco leadership expressed confidence in providing world class fire safety measures keeping in mind the rapid growth of India and Telangana. They also added that the Naffco’s plant in Telangana will produce fire safety equipment which will cater to the fire safety needs in India.

NAFFCO offers a wide range of world-class fire fighting equipment, trucks and vehicles, fire pumps and controllers, fire protection systems, passive fire protection, extra-low voltage solutions, medical, safety, and training.

Malabar Group

Malabar Group, which has already started its operations in Telangana, has come forward to invest in other sectors. After the gold refinery, the group will now be investing in a furniture manufacturing plant. The proposed plant would come up with an investment of Rs. 125 crores.

A delegation of the Malabar Group met with Industries Minister KT Rama Rao in Dubai. The group’s chairman M P Ahammed attended the meeting through virtual mode. Speaking on the occasion, Ahammed said that with the cooperation from the Telangana government, the construction works of their gold refinery and processing plant is happening at a brisk pace.

On the occasion, he announced that the group will be investing in a new furniture manufacturing plant in the state. The Minister thanked the Malabar Group for investing and expanding in Telangana.
