The Textiles minister KTR who always encourages the weavers has unveiled a unique saree made by a weaver of Sircilla district.
One named Nalla Vijay made a saree with silver mixed with aromatic oils that spreads fragrance. The minister was surprised at the talent of the weaver and appreciated him. He said he would further support the weaver.
KTR inquired about textile production in Sircilla and general well being of the weavers from Vijay. He promised to continue his support to industry further.
KTR is known for his special affection towards weavers and launched several initiatives for the welfare of weavers. He had been demanding the BJP government at the centre to sanction a special textile cluster in Sircilla district but there was no response.
