Is Revanth Reddy trying to sabotage the original Congress?

The political grapevine has it that CM Revanth Reddy is trying to finish the original Congress leaders by sabotaging and sidelining them. A series of incidents in the recent past have added fuel to the fire.

There are various reports alleging that Revanth Reddy is behind trapping his ministers in various issues. A few days ago, minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s son was summoned by the Chennai customs officials in a case related to luxury watch smuggling. A few months back, there were reports regarding the alleged involvement of minister Seethakka’s PA in illegal sand mining. And recently, ACB sleuths apprehended Seethakka’s close aide Tahslidar Tasleema and raided her multiple properties.

On the other hand, even the Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka has been repeatedly insulted at various places, including the Yadadri temple. It is also alleged that a popular media house has gifted him a high-end car. Speculations are rife that CM Revanth is leaking such information to the media and the public.

Concerning minister Sridhar Babu, it is widely believed that CM Revanth is calling the shots in Sridhar Babu’s ministry, including making appointments without his knowledge. It is said that Revanth is sidelining Sridhar Babu in investment meetings. Also, party loyalist V Hanumantha Rao and senior Dalit leader Mothukupalli Narsimhulu are openly criticizing Revanth for not even giving them an appointment to meet.

These political developments indicate that all is not well in the Congress party, and Revanth’s alleged attempts to sideline original and senior Congress leaders have altered the dynamics. The effect can be seen in the Congress’s campaign for the Lok Sabha polls. With just one day left for nominations, 3-4 candidates are yet to be finalized, and the party is yet to begin a coordinated and full-fledged campaigning.
