Inaugurating 9 medical colleges on a single day is for first time in India: Minister Harish Rao

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the nine medical colleges in the state virtually on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister T Harish Rao said it was the first of its kind in the country. This shows the vision and commitment of CM KCR. Earlier, the state government inaugurated eight medical colleges. The government medical seats added by Telangana state in 2023 constitute 43 per cent of the total seats added in the government sector in the country. All the 27 states and union territories offered 57 per cent of seats all put together.

The stable government with its excellent strategies has put the state on top in many sectors – Mission Bhagiratha, the Palamuru Rangareddy project, 24-hour power supply to farmers, and the provision of employment opportunities in the IT sector, he said. Congratulating the medical students who secured admissions this year, Minister Harish Rao exhorted them to utilise the opportunities being provided by the state government to the optimum level. He thanked the chief minister Mr KCR for making him part of the noble cause.
