Modi’s revenge against Telangana deprived students of medical colleges: Minister KTR

Minister Mr KT Rama Rao has said the Modi government has sanctioned 157 medical colleges across the country but did not give a single medical college to Telangana state. He said he had met Prime Minister Modi and other union ministers several times. He gave them applications and asked for more educational institutions but they simply ignored Telangana state out of jealousy. However, the visionary leader Mr KCR did not hesitate to go ahead with his plans to set up one medical college in every district headquarters. Now there are enough medical colleges and more students will benefit from the government’s decision.

Mr Rama Rao was taking part in the inaugural of the medical college at Sircilla district where he interacted with the students and their parents. Recalling his old days, he said his mother wanted him to become a doctor while his father desired him to become an IAS officer. Despite securing 1600 ranks he could not get a medical seat as there were not enough seats then. “Now those securing 10,000 rank will also get an MBBS seat in Telangana. Thanks to CM KCR for his kindness,” he said.

Mr Rama Rao said people pray to god and next the doctors. Doctors are equated with gods and hence the students who secured admission now should cultivate empathy and compassion towards people. They should dedicate themselves to studies and later serve society. Many students with very poor economic backgrounds who secured seats in medical colleges can get free education in Telangana state now. He thanked the people of Sircilla for giving him a political birth and was happy to be part of the auspicious occasion of inaugurating the medical college.
