Highlighting the BJP-led centre’s apathy towards Telangana, a hashtag #BJPbetraysTelangana started trending on Twitter. Many Twitter users took to the microblogging platform to question the PM Narendra Modi and the BJP for failing to fulfill pending promises. This social media uproar came in the wake of PM Modi’s visit to Warangal.
Many people found fault with the BJP for dishonouring AP Reorganisation Act promises like establishing the Kazipet railway coach factory, Bayyaram steel plant and Tribal University. Some Twitter users exposed the double standards of the centre on how it was denying any major projects to Telangana. Some netizens also wrote how the BJP betrayed Telangana by not sanctioning even a single central institution in the last nine years.
