Debate among yourselves before voting: CM KCR tells people

Chief Minister Mr K Chandrashekhar Rao has appealed to people not to vote in haste and to conduct open debates in their villages before casting their votes in the ensuing elections. Addressing public meetings as part of his election campaign at Palakurthi, Haliya and Ibrahimpatnam seeking public support for the party candidates – Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Nomula Bhagath and M Kishan Reddy respectively, he said people should talk among themselves about the candidates and political parties.

“Elections come and go. Having seen the Congress and BRS rule, they should compare who did what,” he said. When the new state was formed things were in disarray. There was no drinking or irrigation water, there was no enough power supply and life was pathetic on all fronts.

The BRS party after assuming the power tackled the problems one by one ensuring drinking water, and a free power supply and launched a series of welfare measures. Though the state had rivers Krishna and Godavari passing through it, there was a shortage of water. Even cattle had no fodder and were sent to slaughterhouses and people had to migrate for livelihood. The BRS government through commitment and vision changed the things for better slowly.

Now, the Congress leaders do not want the Rythu Bandhu, free power and Dharani which were all introduced aimed at farmers’ welfare. “It is for you people to think over it. If they are to be continued, vote for BRS party else the old days of corruption and red tape will be back making lives miserable again,” CM KCR pointed out.

People should not get confused or carried away by the leaders promising earth and heaven. During the 50 years of rule, the Congress party did nothing to the people. “Why it did not occur to them to give water all these years despite having water in rivers Krishna and Godavari?,” he posed. Now, the Congress leaders are asking for one more chance. Can we believe them again? They are openly denouncing the welfare schemes which the lives of people comfortable. Now people should think much before voting, the only weapon available for them now, CM KCR said.
