Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, who was in the news a few days back for a purported humiliation meted out to him at Yadadri temple, has faced yet another bizarre experience. This time, the seemingly embarrassing incident happened in a Congress party meeting in Makthal.
In the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party organized a party meeting in Makthal. Much to Bhatti’s surprise, a party activist picked up the mic and stated that disbursing Rythu Bandhu to every farmer would be beneficial for the party in the forthcoming elections.
Despite promising to extend an input assistance of Rs. 15,000 per acre under Rythu Bharosa, the Congress government continued with the BRS government’s Rythu Bandhu for this season. It has been more than two months since the government started disbursing the amount, yet many farmers haven’t received the assistance.
