Congress govt hikes TET application fee to Rs. 1,000 per paper

The Congress government has recently decided to significantly raise the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) fee, causing concern among the aspirants.. The fee for each paper has been set at Rs. 1,000, with an additional requirement of Rs. 2,000 for those intending to write two papers.

The Congress party, in its election manifesto, had promised to conduct competitive examinations without any application fee. However, the recent substantial increase in TET fees contradicts this promise. This fee hike marks the highest level of fees collected for TET since its inception.

This announcement was made through a notification from the education department on Friday. The application process for TET, scheduled to take place from the 27th of this month to the 10th of April, requires applicants to apply online through the government’s official website, schooledu.telangana.gov.in.
