The much-anticipated podu land pattas distribution will begin on June 30 in Asifabad. CM KCR will formally launch the distribution program in Asifabad and Ministers and MLAs will begin the program in their respective districts and constituencies on the same day.
Though the patta distribution program was scheduled to begin on June 24, it got postponed as the district collectors are occupied in training classes conducted by the Election Commission of India for the state assembly elections. Around 4 lakh acres of podu land would be distributed among 1.5 lakh tribal farmers and later they would also be eligible to receive the Rythu Bandhu amount. CM KCR will also inaugurate the newly constructed Integrated District Offices Complex and District SP Office in Asifabad on June 30.
