Centre playing dirty games using Governor office: Minister G Jagadish Reddy

Energy minister G Jagadish Reddy has accused the Central government of trying to hamper the progress of Telangana state. Every effort is being made to stall the welfare and development programmes being implemented by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The Centre is using the office of the Governor for this purpose, he said.

Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has forgotten that she is holding a holy constitutional post and instead acting like a BJP worker. She kept the important bills pending blocking the government’s efforts to implement reforms in municipal legislation and recruitment of teachers in various universities, Jagadish Reddy said.

In a democratic setup, the MLAs elected by the people passed a bill in Assembly. It should be immediately cleared by the Governor. But here in Telangana, the Governor is sitting over the bills for no reason. The Education Minister and officials approached the Governor and clarified all her doubts. But despite that, she is still keeping the bills with her office, he added.

The minister said it was unfortunate that the Governor behaves differently in Assembly and in Raj Bhavan. It was all conspiracy by Modi against the Telangana government.
