Carving a niche, KTR poised to set a new course in the political arena

IT, MA&UD, and Industries Minister Mr Kalavakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, popularly known as KTR, is poised to set a new trend in the political arena. Mr KTR who is celebrating his 47th birthday has carved out a niche for himself in the political field in his about two-decade-long political career. He is better known for his extempores be it a world stage or public meeting. Blessed with untiring energy, excellent memory and his gift of gab have all earned him encomiums from global corporate leaders, people of Telangana and people of Sircilla in particular.

KTR is at ease equally with the technocrats and his voters back in his Sircilla constituency. He is known for amazing learning skills by listening just once. With his affable nature, he endeared himself as a well-wisher and saviour of all his acquaintances. In one of his interviews, he did agree that his father and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s legacy did help him gain entry into politics, but he sustained with his sheer hard work. He was elected MLA of Sircilla with little margin the first time but went on to garner a significant margin in his second election. “Had I sat back to thrive on my father’s legacy, the people of Sircilla would not have given a majority in the election the second time,” he said.

Mr KTR also proved himself as an inspiring figure to many youngsters and to his fellow politicians as well. The other day IT minister of Tamil Nadu state Mr P Thiagar Rajan arrived in Telangana to study the initiatives of the state government in the promotion of the IT industry. He closeted with Mr KTR and learnt from him many things. When the rival party leaders level false allegations and try to tarnish him and his party. He spares none in his attack. He also exhibits the rare side of his personality when he oversees the party affairs as BRS working president. He keeps in touch with the mandal-level functionaries either directly or over teleconference guiding them continuously.

At times, he is seen everywhere officiating important meetings and giving hope to the citizens. He is ready to shoulder the responsibility without any hesitation be it party or the government. When the capital city is flooded, he is there wading through knee-deep waters without any inhibitions thus boosting the morale of sanitation workers and officers in the field. Through his untiring efforts and urge to do something for people, he turned into a mature and compassionate person. The BRS leaders and people across the Telangana state greeted and blessed him with a long life and bright career ahead.
